Nonprofits & community organizations

Your mission shouldn’t be paying commercial IT rates.

Registered nonprofits get a standing 10% Community Partner Rate on managed services and Solstice labor — with onboarding waived.

Same networks, same monitoring, same person answering the phone as our commercial clients. Just priced so more of your budget stays with the people you serve.

  • 10% off managed services
  • 10% off Solstice labor
  • Onboarding waived

A visible 10%, not a vague promise

You see the standard commercial rate and the nonprofit rate side by side on every quote.

Onboarding waived

The setup, documentation, and first-pass cleanup of your existing systems come at no charge.

Documentation you can show a funder

Devices, access, and controls written down plainly — useful when a grant application asks.

The Community Partner Rate

What the discount actually covers.

The rate is straightforward, and we keep the commercial price visible so you always know what the concession is worth.

  • 10% off managed site plans — your primary site, additional business sites, and qualifying small remote sites
  • 10% off managed endpoint and email security — per computer, all-in
  • 10% off Solstice labor — standard and after-hours rates
  • Onboarding waived — no setup fee to become a client
  • Hardware and third-party services stay at standard price — we don’t mark those up to fund a discount
  • 12-month term — the rate holds for the year, quoted in writing

Who qualifies

Who qualifies for the nonprofit rate

Registered nonprofit organizations — shelters, missions, youth and family services, churches, clubs, food programs, arts and cultural groups, schools, and libraries. If you hold nonprofit status and serve an Alaska community, ask. Discounted labor and services are a reduced rate, not a tax-deductible donation.

Sounds familiar?

What directors and office managers tell us.

These come up in nearly every nonprofit walkthrough — and none of them require replacing everything at once.

  • “Half our computers were donated and we have no idea what’s on them.”

Every machine gets inventoried, patched, and monitored for ransomware — and we tell you honestly which ones are worth keeping.

  • “Volunteers and staff turn over constantly and access never gets cleaned up.”

Door access and logins are managed in one place, so access ends the day someone’s role does.

  • “A funder asked about our data security and we didn’t have an answer.”

You get plain-English documentation of your systems and controls, plus a short monthly summary you can attach to a report.

  • “Someone tried to redirect a donation by email.”

Email security filters fake invoice and wire-transfer attempts before they reach your bookkeeper, and staff get trained to spot the rest.

Where nonprofits usually start

The work that protects a mission budget first.

All nineteen Solstice services are available at the nonprofit rate. These are the ones we recommend first, in order.

  • 01 Endpoint protection

Every computer — donated or purchased — watched for ransomware instead of scanned occasionally.

  • 02 Email security

Fake donation, invoice, and wire-transfer emails caught before your bookkeeper acts on them.

  • 03 Backup & continuity

Donor records, case files, and grant paperwork come back after a failure or an attack.

  • 04 Monitoring & patching

Updates happen automatically, closing the holes that are now the number-one way in.

  • 05 Network segmentation & firewall

Public or client Wi-Fi kept fully separate from staff computers and confidential files.

  • 06 Door access control

Volunteer and staff building access granted and revoked without re-keying locks.

  • 07 Security cameras & video

Entries, donation drop-offs, and after-hours activity on record, viewable from a phone.

  • 08 Business-grade Wi-Fi

Coverage that holds up in older buildings, community rooms, and multi-building campuses.

  • 09 Phone systems (VoIP)

Calls routed to the right program or staff member, with voicemail that reaches someone.

  • 10 Training for staff & volunteers

Your people learn to spot a scam email or phone call before it costs the organization money.

  • 11 Monthly reporting

A short plain-English summary of what’s protected — useful for a board packet.

  • 12 Financing

Larger upgrades can be financed, subject to approval, to fit a grant cycle.
